How it Works

How You’re Living-Social Deal Works:

First off, thank you for purchasing this Living-Social deal.  For a fraction of our normal price ($200) you will receive high quality professional portraits of your whole family.

Let me start by answering a few common questions:

Q: Do you work alone?
A: Yes.  As a parent of 2 kids, I understand how uncomfortable kids can be with strangers.  For this reason, I prefer to shoot alone.  This allows me to directly interact with your kids and family and have everyone comfortable with me.  I have found that it is much easier to get use to one person verses 2 or 3.

Q: What if my kids don’t want to cooperate?
A: Again, as a parent, I understand shyness and temper tantrums.  I am a very patient person.  I guarantee I will capture a portrait that you will be proud to hang on your wall.  I make sure to build in extra time with each shoot.

Q: How long will our portrait session last?
A: Family portraits are quick.  However, getting to know each other and allowing your kids to warm up to someone new is not.  You should expect to spend an hour or less at your chosen portrait location.

Q: I am located in El Dorado Hills CA.  Zip: 95762

Q: Can we have our portrait taken anywhere?
A: Yes.  I am open to travel anywhere needed.  You are constrained to one location, but a location of your choice.  Your LivingSocial deal includes up to 25 miles of travel from El Dorado Hills (95762).  After that, it is $25 each way for each hour worth of driving time.  This will be due the day of your shoot.  I also try to group different geographic locations.  Meaning, I try to book multiple sessions back to back in the same town.  Check our travel location calendar to find out when I will be in your area.

Q: Where should we have our portraits taken?
A: A build off of the last question.  I have dozens of locations that I know and love for portraits.  Each caters to a different style preference.  If you have a location in mind that is especially important to you, we can shoot there.

Q: What is the best way to contact you?

A3: If you need to talk to me immediately, call me. 530-333-7637. Please note: if I am on a shoot, I do my best to give each portrait my undivided attention and usually do not to answer my phone.  If I don’t answer, leave me a message and I will call you as soon as possible.

Q: I see you include one 8×10 print and a disc of web (facebook) quality images.  What if we want to buy more prints?
A: You are welcome to buy more prints.  My goal is to capture so many amazing images, that you will have a hard time choosing your favorites.  You can order as many prints as you like. Prices start at $20 per sheet (Multiple photos on each sheet). Full print pricing can be found on my website.

Q: What if we want to buy a disc of full resolution images?
A: You can buy any photo in full resolution for $35 per image.  Or, for $250 you can buy a disc of the WHOLE session.  This will allow you to print as many photos as you want for personal use only.

Q: Will the photos we purchase be edited?
A: Absolutely! We edit each photo capture as needed.

Q: I see that every web quality photo has your logo on the bottom.  Can I remove this?
A: Actually, No, this is not okay.  You are not allowed to edit the photos in anyway.  This includes but is not limited to: Removing my logo, cropping the photo, changing the color of appearance, etc.  You may however change any given photo to grayscale or sepia.

Q: Can I use this Living Social deal for photos of my business?
A: No, this deal is reserved specifically for family photos.  I do however offer business portrait and architectural photos.  Check my website for rates and details.

Q: Can we use these photos for our Christmas Card?
A: Absolutely, you will however have to purchase your chosen full resolution image for $35.  I would recommend you book early.  Christmas is a very busy time for me.  Also, keep in mind that it takes time for me to edit your photos, and time for the mail to deliver them for the Christmas season.

Q: We would like to use this to take portraits of multiple families.  We have 3 families that we want one giant portrait of.  Is this ok?
A: No, this deal is reserved specifically for photos of a single family.  BUT, if each family purchases this deal, and you would like to all shoot on the same day, I will include the photos from the entire shoot on each disc, so that everyone has the option of having the full family photos as well as their individual family photos.
